Vegetation site clearance and ground works project undertaken on behalf of Jacobs, preparing a brown field site for a road building scheme. This was a particularly complex project which involved working around areas of Japanese Knotweed and providing access through a busy bus terminus. All green arisings had to be processed on site and disposed of in an environmentally sensitive manner, whilst the above and below ground parts of the Japanese Knotweed were trench burnt in situ. As the first contractors onto this heavily overgrown site, we were required to have an innovative approach to solving the many unseen problems.
